Hallo again and welcome to another issue of the HU. We're still living in 'interesting times' as they say. Heading out of lockdown but with potential variants and variants pluses on the horizon. Not to mention all the fuss over Brexit and protocols. Nobody's sure of anything except uncertainty. Anyway we're pleased to present you with as usual a wide range of features and interviews. We like giving writers the opportunity to explain their work themselves rather than have somebody else do it through a review for instance so there's more of that by writers familiar and emerging plus interviews with a range of poets. There's also an essay on non-existence (allowing a bit of the Abridged world to creep into the HU) and a piece of local literary history with an introduction to the 'Belfast Group' as well as other groovy things. This month's featured artist is Belfast based Stuart Cairns. We're big fans of his work and his use of found objects on his wanderings seem to resonate with us and hopefully with you also. Thanks again to everyone in this issue, to all our contributors, interviewers/interviewees and to everyone that submitted to our open submission call. We couldn't do this without you. We wouldn't want to.
